Paul Albrechtsen named Transportation Person of the Year

WINNIPEG — MAY 28, 2003 — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — National Transportation Week (NTW) has named Paul’s Hauling CEO Paul Albrechtsen as Transportation Person of the Year. Albrechtsen, President and CEO of Paul’s Hauling Ltd., Westcan Bulk Transport and Gardewine North, has been in the transportation business since 1957.

The NTW Board of Directors cited Albrechtsen’s achievements in the transportation industry over a long period of time as the primary reason for naming him Transportation Person of the Year for 2003. “Through hard work and an eye for opportunity Mr. Albrechtsen became an industry leader,” said the board. “His companies operate as a dynamic transportation group that employ 2600 people and operate about 875 tractors and 2500 trailers out of 38 terminals across Canada and the USA.”
